The Perche's Source

Member John Maupin has located the headwaters of Perche Creek through a contact at the Department of Conservation. He reports the source as being near Renick, 8 miles south of Moberly in Randolph County.

Seven ephemeral streams (look it up) feed the Perche, which is a north-south trending perennial waterway flowing into the Missouri River downstream from McBaine. Two mine dumps and one cemetery are in the drainage basin of the headwaters.

Anyone up for a field trip to the source? Bring it up at one of our daily meetings at the Little General.

Thanks to John Maupin for searching out this information. We all needed to know.
